About Me

Hi, I’m Taylor McKee. I’ve always had a fascination with finances, even as a kid. When I first learned about interest, I started lending money to my brother—charging $5 interest on a one-day loan of $20. Looking back, that was an insanely high rate, but it sparked my love for understanding how money works. Over the years, I’ve enjoyed watching money grow, both physically and digitally. My coin and foreign currency collection is a testament to my lifelong passion for saving and seeing value accumulate over time.

In my 20s, I spent several years single, which taught me the art of reducing expenses and living frugally. Whether it was mastering how to stretch my dollar on fast food or calculating the financial pros and cons of renting versus buying, I found joy in turning financial decisions into a life “mini-game.”

This blog began as a way to help friends and coworkers struggling with their finances. Many lacked basic knowledge about interest rates, credit scores, budgeting, and investing. I started coaching them, walking them through these concepts step-by-step. To make these lessons more accessible, I created this blog as a resource for anyone looking to improve their financial literacy.

Over the past eight years, I’ve helped clients save thousands of dollars by reducing debt and making smarter financial decisions. My goal is to empower others to take control of their money and build a secure future.
